Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
This program is very important to the 13 people that are working. This program serves different counties than the other employment and training programs we have.
Inter County staff assist "our neighbors" with employment to make the monthly mortgage payment, pay for prescription medicine and fills the gap of the Medicare "Donut Hole".
Inter County staff are committed to providing high quality job training and employment assistance to our participants. At the same time, was are also committed to assisting employers that are facing the challenges of today's workplace by developing a viable workforce that is trained and ready to work.
A highlight for us is when one program participant from our region was recognized by the State of Minnesota during the Older Worker Week. She has been a program participant for 2 years and is looking at employment opportunities that she had not thought were possible.
