Outreach to Schools Program
The Outreach to Schools program was offered for the third consecutive year to area high schools. The focus is on career exploration for high school students in our 23 area schools. In addition to area high schools other partners in this program include Adult Learning Centers, the Red River Valley Juvenile Center, and Pine to Prairie Technical Preparation Consortium.
Over 800 youth atteneded the presentations. Youth are provided information on the occupations identified as in-demand in our region. This publication is created by the Labor Market Information Staff of DEED. Youth utilize this information in identifying a career plan. This presentation provides real life examples allowing youth to broaden their understanding of careers within the region.
